Our lighting group is well versed on lighting applications and can assist in selection of the appropriate styles and performance to meet your needs. Should your project require utility substation or distribution style products, our utility group is always available to assist in assuring that the best possible combination of products that we have available will be provided.
Electrical Utility Products
Our professional Electrical Utility sales staff has many years of experience serving the utility market. We have personnel dedicated to the public power market as well as to the investor-owned market. In our Atlanta office, we have a P.E. on staff who was an engineer with a large utility for several years. We understand the needs of electric utilities to have reliable equipment, properly selected for the job at hand, and backed by knowledgeable support personnel.
As the utility market has changed, we have changed with it. From the years when distribution automation consisted of a lineman standing by at a switch waiting for someone to tell him over the radio to pull the handle, we now can provide equipment to totally automate and re-configure an entire distribution system. With our experience and that of our factory technical resources, we have the capability to provide highly sophisticated switching and control devices for a wide variety of transmission, substation and distribution applications. In one form or another, we can almost supply everything from the GSU to the distribution transformer at the point of service.

The Lighting Division offers a complete line of lighting fixtures and lamps to meet the needs of most applications. Specializing in high quality, energy efficient lighting products allows us to show our customers the maximum value for the dollar.

Commercial & Industrial Products
The Commercial & Industrial Division markets electrical equipment primarily to electrical distributors. The equipment is used by industrial contractors, commercial contractors, or OEM customers.
Throughout our 35 years of service to the electrical industry, Whitehead & Associates has developed a particularly unique blend of expertise to use in serving our customers. Drawing on our experience serving the power utility industry, early in our history we began expanding our product lines to better serve the evolving commercial and industrial development in our service territory. This effort was aided by the evolutionary changes that took place with some of our manufacturers as they too, saw the need to offer a broader range of product to serve a growing and changing market.
Realizing that there is no single channel to the end user of any product, we have sales professionals that have many years of experience working closely with consulting engineering firms, electrical distributors, contractors and power users. This multifaceted experience has become more important in recent years as many large commercial and industrial users have begun to build systems that, to a large degree, mimic typical utility distribution systems.
